Opening scene for a movie.
Scene starts in some big city full of crime. The gangs are in charge, blah, blah, blah. A group from one gang are beating up on a few people, for reasons that are probably not related to the story line, just an excuse for them to get wasted.
One of the banger's cars nearby blows up. This brings our attention to the good guy. approaching from down the street. He cracks open the M79 grenade launcher he's holding, tosses away the brass, and loads another round. The bangers are looking for revenge, and leave off the poor fools from the beginning of the scene to head for him. The head one starts throwing slang and stuff at him. "Yo man, that was my car! Now you gonna get it good." Whatever.
The GG raises the launcher again, and fires. The round is a canister load, and turns the approaching punks into dog meat. He gets to the victims, loading another canister round. This one goes from the hip into the gang-banger that tries to shoot him. The rounds from the Glock or whatever don't phase him through the body armor he's wearing under the grenade vest, which is one of few things visible inside the trench coat he's wearing. The second canister load turns the last banger into a splatter on the wall, something that's not seen. We take the oppurtunity to get a good shot of the hero in his body armor and trench coat shooting the M79 from the hip(with a load like that, how can you miss? don't forget this is a movie we're talking about).
He slowly, deliberately loads an HEI round while a police car comes screeching around a corner. One of the fools on the ground says something like, "Thank goodness, the cops!" while helping one of his buddies. The hero just raises the M79 again and blows the car, and the corrupt cops inside, to flaming BBQ. The others are just standing there staring at him. He turns to them, cracking the launcher open again, and tosses the empty brass. The clatter it makes hitting the ground and the burning of the cars are the only sound.
The camera moves to a wider view while he reloads and pulls up one of the guys, leading them off to the escape, completing the opening scene.
This might be while the credits are taking place, while rap plays in the background or something. Don't know the next scene yet. Or even what the whole movie's about. The scene just popped into my head, and I had to get it down. What do you guys think?
