• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

Entertaining your grandkids in the shop

Mine are 14 and 16 now. I hope the youngest one still has some passion for reloading. I'll find out when he's out of school for the summer.
The older one is pure academia, was inducted into National Honor Society when she was in 10th grade. Also plays French horn, trumpet, and cello for the high school band/orchestra.
Hard to believe when just yesterday she was doing this,

My kiddo is 6 on Saturday. She’s a little supposed to be impossible miracle… born on my birthday. She likes to run the press. And is turning into quite a formidable force with a BB gun.

ETA: I should add, it’s not a “grand” yet. But she’s sure what makes dad’s world go around.

I can’t wait to teach my grandson how to reload.
One friendly piece of advice: try to curb your enthusiasm and avoid over expectations. Youngsters these days have a lot of distractions to deal with. Something low energy like handloading isn’t going to appeal to everyone - not at first anyway. Be patient.

When the ex left i had custody of the kids. I'd take the kids out deer hunting .
My daughter was the youngest (5, mabe 6 years old) and would sit by me. I took a couple of furnature pads, one for her to sit on and one to cover up when it was cold.
I took some twigs and made a tic, tac, toe patern. I then grabed some stones and all twigs to use to play tic, tac toe.
One of use used small stones and the other used small sticks.
Great memories.
