I like to watch Foxnews, CNN, MSNBC, and ABC news so that I can get most of the lies at once and sort through them for some truth. I will say that Foxnews definitely is the most pro-2nd amendment, pro-cop, and most realistic.

When I see Foxnews anchors, reporters, and contributors they say a lot of correct things about violence with guns such as mental health, how background checks aren't the be-all answer, waiting periods and what not.

What a lot of people miss, even a lot of the former law enforcement that are on as contributors is the age of the suspects. I'm not talking about the rare school shooting which but you're average everyday shooting which is the majority of the deaths related to violence with guns in America.

This is age. The Federal age to buy a handgun from a licensed dealer is 21 years old. To buy from an unlicensed dealer is 18 years old. Possession of a handgun is illegal for anyone under 21 in the states of California, New Jersey, D.C., and New York.

These people aren't even going to try to pass a background check, since they know they aren't legally allowed to have a pistol in the first place.

16-24 year olds in inner-cities like Chicago, Niagra Falls, Camden, and others commit a majority of the homocides with guns and they are inherently black youths killing other black youths, many times related to gangs but not always.

People should be bringing up the fact that a background check wouldn't matter when the person isn't even legally allowed to own a gun by age, background check notwithstanding. Because these people can't buy guns legally they are buying them on the street, in alleys, from the back of cars, and some straw-purchases.

Someone should say, 'These potential murderers are legally not allowed to buy a gun because of age, yet they are still getting plenty of guns to commit homocides through illegal means. Let's look into how to stop this, not background checks, waiting periods, assault rifle bans, and magazine bans.'

To the anti-guns cult, the anti-self defense zealots, facts are completely meaningless. As they always scream, "Don't cloud the issue with the facts!!"

Age is irrelevant to a criminal. If you're buying illegally, it's just as illegal at 60 as it is at 16. Background checks, waiting periods, assault rifle bans, and magazine bans don't matter to criminals of any age.

Anti's always bring up universal background checks.

Take that completely off the table by saying they wouldn't even apply for a background check because they legally can't own a handgun because of their age.

I think this is a good point. What is the best way to get this publicized?

The real data indicates your assumptions are incorrect and instead the largest group of offenders are the 21-25 year old group. That said, the next largest group are the 16-20 year olds. These groups combined represent the majority of offenders.

    Agreed

When will people get the real agenda. They don't want to stop crime....they want to take your guns. It's about the growth of the power of a larger government. They don't care about stopping crime.

This is another lie but it's sort of hidden.

There is no such thing as a legal "unlicensed dealer". Dealers must be licensed or they are breaking federal law.

What they are really talking about there is private sales. In other words, transactions between people where neither party is a dealer.

I don't know who started using the term but it's pretty creative. It would be like saying that if you and I make a deal and you buy my car, that would be you purchasing a car from an "unlicensed dealer". Which is total nonsense, of course. It's just one person legally selling something to another person.

Any time someone uses the term "unlicensed dealer" in the context of firearms, they are either misinformed or they are trying to mislead.

Ideological dominance and the power to make the masses bend to their will certainly trumps everything else when it comes to the leftist.

Soccer moms and other assorted dupes like to think of themselves as standing for a benign cause; they should actually be held in contempt for allowing themselves to be cynically used by a movement fighting for "common-sense reforms to reduce gun violence". Those who are seen to unwittingly support a malignant cause which they believe to be a just one are merely regarded as useful idiots by the leftist intellectuals.

Indeed, what is to be done about persons who are easily deceived or are used to carry out the nefarious designs of another?

Very little,IMO. I've about given up trying, even among close friends and family members. It becomes wearying. That's why Lenin and company loved their Useful Idiots.
