Speaking of Nitro... I think there are some Lefever Nitro Specials on these pages...

Im starting to wonder if these stores all used the same ad companies? These look almost the same even though they’re stores from all across the US.

    Stay safe.

Never thunked that before, but it makes sense that the manufacturer would supply the art design to what ever catalog was selling their items,,

Many manufacturers supplied advertising "Cuts and Mats" to dealers for local advertising. They were all the artwork with room left to insert your name and location. I'm sure the manufacturers had stuff like that available to many sources since it allowed them to control content.

I'm loving this stuff. I'm old enough to remember buying .22 LR for 70 cents for 50 and the Italian carbine for $12.95 plus $2.00 S&H.

    ‘Merica!
    If something' flew
    through your neighborhood
    who ya gonna call?
    (Bird Busters!)

    If it's a turkey with a beard
    and it don't look good
    who ya gonna call?
    (Bird Busters!)

I ain't afraid of no bird
    I ain't afraid a no bird

    If your seein' things
    flocking at your head
    Who can you call?
    (Bird Busters!)

    An invisible bird
    nestin' in your bed
    Oh, who ya gonna call?
    (Bird Busters!)

    If it ain't a drone
    pick up the phone
    and call
    (Bird Busters!)

I shall leave the rest of the song to someone else!

Philip Goodwin created many wonderful pieces of wildlife and sporting art for magazines and companies like Winchester and DuPont. Many of the original pieces are large oil paintings that are really stunning to see.

    Some Savage 99 ads.

My Dad gave me my first centerfire when I turned 15, it was a 99F in .308 Win.

Sadly, I had to sell it to pay bills back in college. I guess having a roof and food for a month and a half was better than sleeping in my car with my rifle. :(

    Stay safe.
