Probably just a coincidence, but I thought I'd share.
I own plenty of knives. I've had 2 accidents with a knife now. 1 was about a year ago and required stitches (deep cut in my left hand middle finger). It was a slip up of some kind while cutting something, I don't remember what. Painless but bloody.
Anyways, I just happened to put that knife away after that accident and have been using other knives in the meantime, mainly my EDC Spyderco Centofante 4.
Today, I pulled that knife out for the first time since to use cutting a piece of rope..... slipped again! No stitches this time. Was a gusher though. Minor cut from what I can see to my right hand index finger, must have hit a small vein or something. Not painful at all (just like the last time), in fact I thought I had lucked out initially and it took a good 20 seconds before it started bleeding.
It's just WEIRD that it's the same knife and I've never had any other accidents with my other knives despite using at least one every day. What are the odds? I'm thinking the knife doesn't like me.
Btw - it's an S30V Benchmade Griptillian. I have an almost identical Griptillian without the black finish and in 154cm which I've used many times and never had any problem with.
I'm sure it was ultimately just coincidental timing of careless mistakes that cost me some blood. It's just weird.
