Anyone hear of exotic ammunition like:

    Dragon's Breath:
you can order them for $16.98 each. White phosphorous that ignites upon being shot. Creates a 100-yard flamethrower that burns for about three seconds. Contrary to popular belief, this does not damage a smooth-bore shotgun.

stuff like that, tracers, and wierd/exotic ammo. Post what you have heard of, and links if you have them.

I guess the question I have is why shoot it in the first place? as dry as it is out west and you started a fire with it you would be liable for some hefty fire fighting bills. enlist in the army or marines if you want to shoot this kind of stuff

Dragon's Breath is specifically defined as illegal in Florida by the way...

Just get it out of your system -

Buy 3 rounds of Dragon's Breath, fire them, go "Oooh" and "Awww", and then buy a hundred-round box of target shells at WallyWorld for the same price and do some real shooting :D .

    :what:

Which dictator said something like, "If you want to shoot guns, join the army."

Let him try the stuff out - just be careful. He'll realize it's a waste of money. I did.

The more I look at the site your link points to the stronger feeling I get that it is a gamer's site and the "ammo" listed there is for a virtual weapon, specifically the shotgun in the game. Look at some of the “ammo†descriptions. Says things like “blast 3, strength 2D10†all gamer’s terms. Some of the “ammo†is beyond the laws of physics as any ammo much less ammo for a shotgun. Think you may be confusing “wouldn’t this be cool†with I have this in my hand.

Heinrich Himmler said something similar, indicating that no German citizen needed a firearm, as their possessing a weapon didn't serve the state. He suggested that those wishing to use guns join the SS or SA.

As a side note, John Kerry has echoed the idea concerning "assault weapons." I have the quote stored at home, and I've posted it on these boards at some time or another. As it is, I'm at work and don't have access to it.

You are correct that site is for gamers, however the same name is used for REAL shotgun shells. I have seen their website and seen them sold at gun shows. The same company also loads all kind of "interesting" loads, tacks, rubber balls, chains, flechets (SP?), flares, noise making loads etc...

Never tried them though If I had someplace to test them out I would like to just for the heck of it :)

I read a review on dragon's breath in a mag. after firing it, and almost starting a brush fire, the author said that it

"should only be fired from an asbestos boat,in the middle of the ocean, during a rainstorm"
    :D

There was a story on the net somewhere about some guy letting loose with one of those on some burgler coming through his window. It was a real hoot to read, 'cause the guy had apparently forgotten that he had one in the shotgun magazine...

Wish I still had some left to sell to boo17 at $16.98 ea. I paid $3 each at a gun show for them (bought 3) Shot one off at a friends cabin. Cool. Later that night, a young couple "parked" at the end of the fire trail his cabin was on, and we formulated a plan of attack:;) We snuck up behind their truck, one friend shot his 9mm in the air, we all screamed " F*** You, GI! (Like in Apocalypse Now :p ) and when they started to move, I fired a Dragon's Breath. Man, you'd've thought that F150 was a NASCAR racer! He never had any more problems with kids "parking" back by his cabin.;) (No rounds were fired anywhere near the truck, and yes it was a stupid thing to do, but we couldn't stop laughing the whole weekend![IMG]

I don't know what dictator may have said it, but Gen. Wesley Clarke said, "If you want to shoot assault weapons, join the army."

He may want to be dictator, but he hasn't made it yet. Of course, his clone, Kerry, just might.

I have always wondered what a load of carpet tacks or this other stuff might do that 00 buckshot wouldn't ?

Yeah, it is right at the end of that link I posted six down from the top. ;)
