Hi
I am sure that most of you have heard about "THE LOAD".
It's 13 gr of Red Dot that supposedly makes great cheap loads with most rifle rounds.
This week I decided to try it and since I was overly(?) careful I loaded my 303 British with 11 gr and a 150 gr bullet.
Recoil was almost not existent and I clearly heard the bullet hit the target
after the shot (100 yards).
Bullet speed clocked at 1600ft/sec.
Unfortunately I could not find a hole in the target even after a few shots.
Finally I used a big sheet of paper and aimed at the top boarder and there it was - about 16 inches low.
(with "real" loads my Enfield No4 is zeroed in perfectly).
No my questions are:
Is this normal?
How about the infamous sub sonic bullets, that are supposedly so much fun to shoot.
Is it possible to get any accuracy out of them?
I am just wondering if I made a mistake, is worth to experiment more...
Thanks
