I was just over at Gunbroker and tried to register over there....

thing is you;re required to select your country as part of the registration.... And ther is no entry on that list for the United States of America!!! American Samoa, yes, teh US Virgin Islands Yes. but no "america", no "USA", no "United States".

so how exactly on god/godess's green earth am i supposed to enter a legit adress for registration!!!??? :banghead:

i've been ovewr the list top to bottom three four times now and it's just not there.

I looked at their site and on the first page after you click the Register link there is a question asking if you're a US resident. Maybe that is how they determine it.

don't i wish.....

i thought so too untill i tried to go on past the page asking for "country" as part of the address. it goes to a "we're sorry you left out something" page and tells you to go back and put in a country in that box.

I registered last year and there was a USA choice among the listed countries. Maybe things have changed since then, but it was no problem at that time.

I just registered and said YES when it asked if I was a resident of the USA. It didn't ask for my country after that.

well i'll just have to try again when i get a chance tommorrow, again i figured something screwy was going on...

i DID check that box BTW, but it still asked for my country after that.

Thaks guys, it must just have been a case of "they didn't like me" oh well

on ward I go.

Maybe its one of thos hidden little things in the Patriot Act? To slow the flow of arms?????? Who knows... is there a Phone# you can call?

On a different note Re: Patriot Act...

Lets say you wanted to pay off a credit card (ie Sears Card, Discover) The most you can pay in cash is $2500/month due to the PA...

Or if you wanted to apply for, lets say again, A sears card... you will need to give 2x the amount of information to apply....

Why you may ask? Because it is Federal Law... to prevent Terrorists from Shopping at Dept. Stores? I almost died laughing when I read about this. Who knows how far this goes into tiny aspects of our lives?????? Crazy
