We used to be customs brokers for many importers, one of which was FA Bower of Jacksonville, Fl. He used to import knives from Germany (W. Germany) and saturday night special revolvers. One day our Dad took us by his humble shop and he sold each of us a knife for one cent. I still follow that tradition.

He used to import the revolver frames separate from the barrels and cylinders and then paid a gunsmith to install them, saving money on the customs duties as gun parts took a lower rate of duty than complete guns. This was pre 68gca.

I gave my knife to my sister many moons ago.
