A local gunshop has a USED Romanian PSL for sale. The shop wants $850 for it. The price seems a bit high for a used PSL when you can get them "new" for $740...

The rifle is in great shape, the only "problem" I see is what I would call a "dent" in the rubber on the front eye piece on the scope.

I don't want to insult the shop, what would be a "fair" price to offer for it?

well I am about to buy one of these as well. A new one runs about 800 around here so to me they are asking too much, but I don't know what the market is like in your areax try and talk them down if you have cash it is pretty easy to haggle.

You can get them new for $700 from www.aimsurplus.com I just got one this week, for that plus $25 transfer fee and $20 shipping.

Century Arms has a special this month for $680 with 5 mags thrown in (Aim's are from Century BTW, so it's the same exact rifle).

I'd offer them $750 for it and haggle from there. I wouldn't go more than $800, but there is something to be said for having the rifle in hand to inspect it as well as walking out the same day and not dealing with a transfer fee or shipping.

Thanks guys, I love this shop so I didn't want to "burn any bridges" so to speak, they are the only shop that I know of in my state that sells nothing but milsurp with almost any milsurp rifle you could possibly want, they have a WWII G-43 sniper that I faun over everytime I go in there...the price...$4400... I NEVER see those ANYWHERE.

Any of you have a range experience you wouldn't mind sharing on the PSL?

THANK YOU!!!
I was about to order one from AIM tomorrow!!! with mags being 30 bucks a pop that will save me ALOT of money!!!

I saw an almost identical rifle in 8 mm in Memphis, at "Guns and Ammo" (Summer Ave.), about three weeks ago. It has been there for several months
and reminds me of a friend's SVT or a Dragunov.

The 8 mm rifle is priced at about $750-800.

You're welcome. I'm glad it's helpful info.

I had just received my PSL and had just ordered 4 extra mags from Centerfire when I got the email. Don't ya just hate when something goes on sale, immediately after you buy it?

If that's an M76, that is a killer deal! Run, don't walk and buy it now. Even if you don't want to keep it, you could sell it on here for $100 more and someone will jump all over it.

I'll bet it's mis-marked though. It's probably a PSL and they got the caliber wrong.
