Fast and Furious AK Shows Up at Garland Terror Attack

I don't know about the legalities or whatever gibberish a child college fund robbing leech lawyer or jurist may dribble but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the people these firearms were being DELIBERATELY supplied to BY WHOEVER pump out more bodies than Micky Dees flips hamburgers on a routine basis.

In light of all the overwhelming evidence of the activities of these people including brazenly posted youtube videos to frighten and warn, I would think it is a very safe bet that most of these peices of hardware were or are if not already so long ago put to use to do some very bad things to all kinds of people.

Forgive me if I find it hard to belive that people employed as federal law enforcement agents can be that stupid (the epitomy of moron) but then again it wouldn't be the first time in history throughout the world that stooges are placed in high esteem by a government.

There are some crimes that are hard to solve and others are just plain and simple in broad daylight. This would fall under the latter.

P.S. don't turn this into a Rep Vs Dem matter or you will misrepresent the whole point.

Those guns will be used in crimes for decades to come.

The congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious was an election year extravaganza. Vociferous Rep. Issa never never demanded reform of the BATFE. Niether did the NRA.

Operation Fast and Furious had a pilot program ran by the same career bureaucrats. Operation Wide Receiver ran about 200 guns into Mexico.

Things definitely got more brazen during F&F (hence why it was uncovered), but it had been going on so long, that I suspect a very large number of high-ranking careers would be destroyed (if not officers prosecuted) if they dug the rabbit hole up.

There was also that little thing where Obama basically put all relevant source materials that could possibly be incriminating under executive seal. That 'helped' stop the investigation cold. ;) (and it became clear he would not tolerate further inquiry. I imagine Issa realized that the only possible reward he'd get for finding the truth would be a bunch of preemptive pardons, and no practical effect)

Is there more info on Wide Receiver?

I haven't read up on it, or even heard about it until now.

Operation Wide Receiver was terminated Oct 2007 (during the Bush Admin.) because it was a failure. About 200 guns walked.

Operation Fast & Furious (same tactic and many of the same Phoenix ATF field office personnel) restarted Nov 2009 (during the Obama Admin.) because it would increase the number of US guns traced to Mexican crime scenes supposedly to give leads on cartel bosses (cynics say to justify reinstating the AWB 1994-2004). About 2,700 guns walked.

Bottom line on this story is that the Garland terrorist bought a 9mm pistol from a dealer who cooperated with ATF in OF&F (but apparently used a different gun an AK in the terror attack). The connection between Garland and OF&F is almost coincidental, even spurious.

Except that there was a hold placed on the sale that was lifted the next day and that there have been 2 other attacks where the shooter shouldn't have been able to get a gun yet passed the background check anyway. Maybe fast and furious is domestic now.
