let not forget the hi-point 45. sure everyone will laugh at you but its cheap and durable(kinda).

I have a P90 Ruger I bought just after 9-11-01. Like it a lot, but I see Ruger has stopped making it. Haven't shot a Ruger P-345, but I think it is just a bit slimmer.

XD45 tactical here, wouldn't trade it for the world. Spends its days on my side in its safariland 6280 and ready to go. Shoots great, mild recoil and aftermarket parts galore. Win, win, win :)

+1 for the Smith family; buying another CS45, and 457; own 4x 4506's and 3 4516s'; have been 100% for me; 457 stainless shocked me with accuracy. Own a 4513 I haven't shot yet.

Cheers, TF

My favorites were HK USP and EAA Witness Competition. Soft recoil and very accurate. Comfy too.

Another vote for the XD-45 Tactical (5"bbl) here. It holds 14 rounds and still fits my hand very well. It has an outstanding trigger (for what it is), and I got the night sight version with 2 mags, mag pouch, holster, and loading tool for $600 new. Did I mention that it's reliable and accurate? I sold a Glock to finance it and that was the best trade I've ever made.
