Just want to see what everyone's favorite .45 with a barrel less than 4.25" is, it can be a revolver or semi auto. Mine's a Glock 30sf:D, but I've only shot two different .45 cal handguns.:banghead:

Star PD is the only short barrel 45 I have. It is super accurate and carries well.

Both my .45s are 5" a full size 1911
and a S&W 625 5"" Bbl.

I am wanting a Ruger SR1911 CMD for next .45

One of these two. All my autos have 5" barrels. [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry stainless that I'm about to sell because I finally found my dream gun - a Kimber Compact CDP. 4 inch barrel with officer frame. Perfect carry gun for me.

I just bought an officer sized 1911. It is a Metro Arms Amigo with a 3.5" barrel. Too soon to call it my favorite....but so far i like it.

My Ruger Blackhawk is my favorite for now, my wife's 1911 is a close second but the ability to send 300 grain wrist snappers and powder puff loads without a spring change give it the edge in general functionality.

Now if I manage to save up for my DeLisle, it might displace the revolver, but I'm quite happy as it stands.

With the barrel length restriction, it would have to be my Thunderer.

9mmfan, I love that thunderer! My next purchase will be one in .45 convertible.

Currently my favorite .45 with the barrel restrictions specified by the OP is my Springfield XDs .45ACP. 3.3" barrel and fun to shoot. The only problem is mine hasn't been sent back to the factory for the recall fix yet so no shooting that one for a while.

I do have a Blackhawk in .45 convertible (Lipsey's flattop) that is my favorite revolver. I think it has a 4 5/8" barrel.

Thanks for the kind words, I like it myself. I had wanted one to go with my 5.5" Model P. Sold something at a gun show, and on the next to last aisle, there it was. For right about what I got for what I sold. I've only been able to shoot it a few times, but it is fun. I've also refinished the grips since this pic was taken.

Got an EPS 1879 "Texas" Shoulder rig for when I'm nerding it up out in the country. Nice old school NY reload.

Do get one, and post some pics.

I have a 30 and a 30SF, and prefer the 30. I shoot it better.
