To echo Aomagrat, a Ruger P85, and to echo GJSchulze, SA XDm, in 5.25. Love the Ruger, but it needs work due to excessive spring fatigue from use (5k rounds in 3 years) followed by 15+ years of neglect. Or I could be projecting my accuracy issues onto it.

It was my CZ P-01 for years...

...and then I laid hands on my CZ SP-01 Phantom.

And that pistol rides my side today, every day. But alas...now I have another contender, so these two duke it out regularly.

My Phantom and the new CZ P-09. Waiting for a good holster to use with the P-09 and I will see how well she carries.

But I REALLY miss my Beretta 92SB (which Wikipedia describes as "extremely rare"). I never should've sold that gun :( 100% Italian made, beautiful BLUE finish with walnut grips.

Has anyone ever had the "Bruniton" crap taken off a Beretta, and had one nicely blued? I've seen a few limited run Beretta's that were bright blued, and they looked quite nice.

Kind of like mine? ;)

Yeah, they aren't very common. I love the blued finish and rounded trigger guard, both of which are long gone today.

I have one even older than that. Here's a plain old model 92 from the 1970's.

Add me to the CZ FanBoy Club,,,

A few years back I decided that even though I am a revolver lover,,,
I wanted to own just one high quality 9mm Semi-auto pistol.

I belong to a very nice Rifle & Pistol club,,,
Many of the members allowed me to shoot their 9-mils.

Seeing as how I was in no hurry to purchase one for myself,,,
I also went to a range and rented several more guns.

I shot all of the major brands such as Sig, Glock, S&W, and even Browning,,,
I also shot many of the second tier guns such as the EAA imports,,,
Then one day a gentleman placed a CZ-75B in my hands,,,
One mag later I knew my search was over.

When he handed it to me,,,
Angelic music wafted through the morning air,,,
The clouds parted and a warm ray of sunshine bathed my hand,,,
The initial sensation was akin to shaking hands with a dear old acquaintance.

The pistol levitated my hand to a perfect angle,,,
I addressed the target and the bullets flew to the center,,,
The recoil of the Czech lady was like a gentle caress to my tired old hands.

Needless to say I hit The Evil Pawn Shop at the first opportunity,,,
I placed my order for the 9mm and the .22 LR Kadet,,,
Now I have what I consider to be the finest 9mm,,,
And a rimfire companion for inexpensive plinking.

The CZ-75B may not be every man's ideal pistol,,,
But I find it to be perfect for me.

Anyone in the market for a full size duty weapon,,,
Would be doing themselves a favor to handle one of these beauties.

Well written! Also that Kadet pistol is now a collectible, as they have been discontinued. The Kadet Kit 2 itself is still around, but the full gun is not.

Just got my Beretta Px4 subcompact in 9mm last night. Cleaned and lubed, shot 50 rounds before taking it home. My Wife has not shot it yet but likes the way it points and presents much better than the Glock 26 that was our favorite child up till now.

Hands down, the Storm sc is now our favorite 9mm

Favorite 9MM

First and Foremost is my Hi-Power. It shoots and shoots and shoots, never jams or fails to eject and no matter what ammo I use.

A close second is my 9 X 18 Makarov. Again, just a consistant shooter and can handle all I can give.

Currently...CZ p-01.

The trigger felt too good to resist. It has a bit more take up in sa and da than I'd like, but not terribly noticeable when actually shooting it. The trigger reset is crisp enough that I know when to stop so I don't let it out all the way, but I'd still like to get rid of the take up and lighten it up a bit. I went to buy an STI Spartan in 9mm, but it was sold so this followed me home.
