A odd bird .. but its a shooter, never lives in tbe safe … fun at the range and is carried at times
AHHS FXS-9 KORR 9mm uses CZ 75 mags
17-19 +1 .. metal trigger .. which is “ just right”

A mini-review by GBGUNs .. btw is being hit hard by YouTube.. pretty much moving to Rumble

Colt Competition with a dot in 9MM for range duty. I don't own many 9s mostly .45s in SA mode...

There other 9's that I shoot equally well...two Sig's: an M11a1 and a P226 Mk25 that I do well with come to mind; but the 9mm below feels the best in my hand, has been 100% reliable and sports a very workable SA trigger. A trigger type that I've accustomed to for over 50 years. Based on some of the comments here on THR, I'd say there are a number of HP fans that like it too.

This is one of Springfield's SA-35's, arguably, in my opinion, the best Hi Power I've ever owned, shot, or carried. YMMv, but this one is a true keeper. 2nd pic with my no-nonsense, field holster. For CC use, I really like Bianchi's version of the high rise, Askins Avenger. Rod

My favorite/preferred 9mm pistol for range use is Gen3 Glock 22 with 40-9mm conversion barrel. With conventional square cut land/sea rifling, no concern over shooting even lead bullets and greater accuracy than factory barrel (Around/sub 2" groups at 25 yards with KKM conversion barrel). With thicker chamber/barrel walls, less concern for shooting hot loads, even 9mm Major.

And with Advantage Arms 22LR slide kit, it's now my favorite/preferred 22LR pistol for range use that's more reliable than GSG/Sig 1911 22LR even with subsonic ammo like CCI SV.

For HD, 40S&W factory barrel goes back in. Best of three caliber world. 👍
norinco 9MM winchester factory ammo

I have too many options to even try to say just one is my favorite.

My HD gun is my CGW’ed SP-01. This is also a great range toy, as is every other 9mm I have in the safes. (Well, except the Glock 43…or Kimber Micro 9. I honestly don’t like shooting those two very much. 😇)

Stay safe.

G19. Tac light, g17mag with a +2 base plate gives me 19+1, and i can carry it if i want to.

The one pistol I have that is good for HD and the range would be my P320 Wilson Combat enhanced. Or maybe my Beretta 92XI. I wouldn't want me shooting at me with either one.

I dummied up and sold my full sized 1911 9mm range gun. Now I am missing that 1911 feel and trigger and feel the need to find a remedy. No semi-auto feels as good to me as the old fashioned 1911. It could also be used as a house gun but I have already filled that need with one that holds twice as much ammo and has a light attached and is DA/AS. It's years old and has proved it's dependability. I have no interest at all in carrying around a 1911 for defensive purposes Much too heavy so range shooter only.

Sig P365XL with a Holosun 507K with a Primary Arms ACSS reticle. If it is staying home, you can put a light on it.

BTW, during the 'Summer of Love', a PCC, with a light and optic, became my bedroom gun. Normally a pretty quiet neighborhood..

i am a revolver guy at heart, courtesy of: lousy army training on a clapped-out m1911 45acp pistol in 1972; excellent security training with a g.i. s&w m10 38sp revolver a dozen years later.

however the high price of 38sp ammo pushed me to get a 9mm service pistol. after much research, trying and online shopping i decided on a springfield armory xd9 with five mags for $250. i am very very happy with the xd9. i could, but dont, ccw it as i am more used to smaller ccw handguns in my benign environment.
