Try finding one of these. The Classic & Original CZ75.

I have had a long-standing love for the HiPower, and have a 1973 example now. My Beretta 92FS is my house gun, and I fell for it as soon as I shot it the first time.
My Sig P6 is a fine pistol, but comes in third to the other two.

Glock has history to prove it's a reliable platform that you can depend your life on.

That being said I wouldn't mind owning a CZ SP-01 or a Browning 9mm.

If I had to defend my fortress against Obama zombies, I'd have to get out the trusty Glock 17...

Someone was obviously deprived of toy guns as a child:)

That's ok though, ignorance is bliss, especially when it comes to reliability over an old design like the BHP.

I'd still like to own a BHP, but let's be honest, they can't match the reliability of a GLOCK.

You be hard pressed to beat a CZ75. I have almost 4,000 rounds through my BD and it has been 100% reliable and the trigger keeps getting better. I also really like my XD9

I'm really enjoying my CZ 75B. The more rounds I put through it, the better it shoots.

After about 1000 rounds, it's managed to eat everything I run through it (including really cheap ammo) without a single bump.

Owned LOTS of 9mms......Favorite is H&K P7.......

....BUT.....

The sleeper of all 9mm handguns...best kept secret.....is........wait for it................

FN P9......try it, I dare ya...

CZ's are great guns and you would be well served with one. I personally like the Browning Hi Power. I prefer either single action or double action, just cant get comfortable with both. My second favorite 9mm is my Para Ordnance LTC Lightweight in 9mm. It is a 4" commander sized gun and is really easy to carry.

For a range gun I like my sig 229 a lot.

Others I might consider if I were in your position: Hi Power, various CZs, 1911, Glock 17, FNP9 (I have yet to fire one but have heard very good things and would investigate further if I were in the market for such a pistol),

For a gun that wont see CC use I like an all steel gun like an earlier poster said. I also like a larger pistol.

If it is just for fun and to own a 9mm then buy whatever you like the most. The more guns I get and shoot the more I realize there are many good guns and that a lot of them work just as well as the next so it really comes down to personal preference and price range. That said a hi power really is iconic and class if your going to have just one.
