Favorite bullets for deer in .243

    Wondering what you folks who "roll your own" .243 rounds for Whitetail like for a bullet???
    This would be for hunting in the south if that makes any difference....Thanks!

    Grain instead of grin but tht is appropriate sine the grin happens after the bullet drops the deer. Byron

    The Federal load of the 100 grain Sierra GameKing has worked well for me on whitetail. Worked even better on pronghorn.

    Any 100gr softpoint that is accurate in my gun if I'm limiting myself to shots through the slats. Otherwise I use 95gr Partitions. I am in the process of working up a load with the new Barnes 85 gr. The last two are not inexpensive options though.
