I have some Christmas money to spend, and I'm thinking about getting some wool hunting pants. They don't have to be wool, but wool is usually my preference when I'm out in the woods. Camo is not a requirement for me either. I'm looking for something to wear both when it isn't cold enough for my Carhartts, and to wear under my Carhartts on really cold days. I'd like some that are machine washable, durable as heck, and of course warm. I'd prefer to spend money for quality, as opposed to buying a pair that will be done for after a year or two. So, what do you guys prefer and why? Any recommendations for me, or other things for me to think about as I narrow down my search? FWIW, the Filson Mackinaw is looking pretty attractive to me, but they are listed as dry clean only - which sucks.
