Surely this Model 29 is worth an honorable mention!
Why not combine these two?
Well, on second thought.......
Ouch! That’s one I can’t unsee .

Somebody please pass the eye bleach.
That picture should be captioned, "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid."
I like the story behind the scene. The script called for an intricate whip vs. sword duel but Ford had the flu. He didn't feel like using the whip like the script said, so he drew and fired. The stuntman ad-lib'd the prat-fall perfectly so they kept the scene. It made the movie.
Exactly. I am going to go with your second thought. I saw "Zardoz" at a tender age, and am not quite over it yet.
"Zardoz" was released when I was in college. This college had a "reputation" as a party school and I saw Zardoz with some friends after some partying. Despite my slightly older age, I still didn't like that movie.
Worse than that, while still in high school, our grandmother took me and my younger brother to see "A Clockwork Orange" when it came out. She fell asleep and I got "scarred for life" by that movie.
The cannons weren't bad either.....
Inspired me back in the day -- so I got one too -- if it was good enough for The Duke and Steve McQueen...
