So Federal is releasing a new cartridge on 1/7/25
Any Guesses on what it will be?

Might be an existing one with a different bullet.
Everyone has introduced a LOT of new cartridges over the last couple years. Stuff that on paper might exceed the performance of legacy cartridges, but don't fully get a foot hold. Bullet technology has greatly improved for existing legacy cartridges, takes less money to load a new bullet into an existing cartridge, than it does making a new one. What makes you say that??

For long as gun makers want to continue selling new guns. Without new cartridges, once the market is saturated who will but new guns? If all Ruger sold were .30-06, .223 and .357s, once everyone has one who will buy another? You can’t rely only on new gun owners, you need to stir up enthusiasm for repeat customers. It’s retail business 101. SMH.How often do we keep reinventing the wheel?

If that's the case, I was right! Is this what's being referenced?
New Products
Seems to be new/updated bullets and loadings of existing cartridges and shot shells.
-jb, not a shopper for any of the offerings
The .22Mag necked up to .308", called the .299 MouseFart.
How about the next frontier just being reliable availability....I’m thinking the “next frontier “ for new cartridges is higher pressures.
