I bought one of these many years ago in 9mm Mak. It laid idle for at least 15 years. I got it out the other day and shot it. About every 10 shots the hammer will follow the slide down . You can fire that round in the double action mode.
My question is what would cause the hammer to follow the slide? The gun would sling brass 20 feet away so I don't think the slide is short stroking.
I have disassembled the pistol for a cleaning but did not see a problem.

My son had a PA-63 that started doing that shortly after he bought it - it turned out that the extractor had come out out at some point. Since the same spring that keeps tension on the ejector also keeps tension on the decocking lever detent at the rear of the slide, the lever would fall down under recoil and keep the hammer from resetting. Occasionally it would double as well.
