Accidentally came home with a new Ruger MKIII .22 cal. 5.5" bull barrel, Ultra Dot 30 mm scope, 300 rounds of white box 9mm (for shootin' with juggler) and 2000 rounds of CCI standard velocity .22 for the new MK III. BUT I GOT A GOOD DEAL!! Now I need a trigger kit for the Ruger.

(sorry, no pix yet, maybe later, you've all seen one anyways.)

Here's a pic

What 8? What 9? And this is PRE trigger job! :D

I was there saturday after the show in Springfield and brought several firearms for trade but sadly didn't see anything that I both wanted and could justify the expense of money at this time. Even the allure of 10% off of a SIG or the M1Aa on the wall just didn't drive me over the edge.

I think it is a sing of sickness. I normally blow through a months pay on the weekend of Hoffmans sale and springfields show. I guess i will have to make up for it at the Durham show in a couple of weeks.

Yea I was there Saturday and had to go back Sunday to pick it up because the state denied me on Saturday. It was PACKED both days. Guns and ammo FLYING out the door! Warms yer little heart doesn't it. ;) I had a $250 gift certificate that had been burning a hole in my pocket for months and I figured it was a good time to pick up that new target gun I've been wanting. Once I get the 6 lb gravely trigger done it should be a real good shooter. I have the same in 6-7/8" barrel and I'm hoping the shorter barrel will perform better for me. So far so good! :D

Figures i was sick this weekend.....and the weather was perfect for going shopping. I was going to look for an EBR to round out the collection, and it would've been cool to see everyone there.

I also bought several hundred rounds (at Wally World) in preparation for the next shoot.....which may be awhile if it doesn't STOP RAINING!! Guess I'll stick with the 9's until I get the time to reload the .40's.

Bring the Ruger next time and I'll set us up on the pin range. If you think you can make it on Saturday afternoons, the winter pin shoot starts in January. Small bore (22's) both revolver and auto. We'll talk about it.

Congratulations on your buy.

Isn't Pins right after ConTact? ;) Oh, that reminds me. I'm almost out of revolver ammo and Georgia Arms is out of .32 mag ammo so I'm short on the revolver side. I'll put a .38 on the wish list for cheap revolver shooting. Or get into the reloader next. That might be a better plan. :D

Oh, that target was shot rapid fire (5 shots x 10 seconds x 2) at 50 ft strong hand only.

Bullseye style. :)

Get yourself a Volquartsen trigger and target sear. It'll get you down to about 2.25 pounds. The trigger is super wide with adjustable over-travel.

280plus, if you don't mind my asking, what's so evil about Hoffman's?
Hoffman's ain't evil, just the 10% sale! :D

I'm actually going to take it to a guy "Joseph's Guns" in New Britain, CT as he is supposed to be the best around. I do have the Volquartsen set up in my other Ruger and it's not bad but I still think it could be better. Very promising from the first tests though.
