Thanks for your expert input.I'd have ground the teeth off before cutting the shape since they may look interesting they're an annoyance in use.

Most folks find they have a easier time grinding their bevels in by annealing like you have and then taking off the file surface down to a flat billet at the time it is still "squarish" unless they're using a large wheel and high hollow or a slack belt. Belts on flat platens just seem to hate the "teeth". Got smacked in the forehead by a belt breaking trying to flat grind an annealed file bevel so I'm skittish. Let us know how it goes.
belt sander takes a bit of an unusual size
Thanks for the reply.Measure the width and length (double) and then check the 4" belts available (looks like a 4x36).

Wrap a cord around and measure length of cord to be certain, but as bowie figures I'd bet 48" belt. 6x48 is an interesting size.unsure of belt size
