Just noticed that many gun parts are reaching higher than normal bids. Must be buyer panic.

I run regular adds there. I haven't noticed it yet. I understand the 'last day' is Aug 13.

I know this may seem as stupid as I probably am, but how do I actually cancel my ebay & paypal account?...I dont see a "cancel account" option in my profile anywhere.

I have already sent my unhappy-gram to Mr. Halprin.

    Higher than normal?

    Sounds REALLY bad...

I'll stay away, as I have for a while.

I assumed the opposite would've happened due to the sellers unloading whatever they had left.

I bought a few mags on ebay for a decent price today, then went over to gunbroker and registered.

Just think of all the lives that will be saved by ebay's heroic efforts :barf:

That's an interesting study in how the old-fashioned economic principle of demand works. IMO it's sad that one part of eBay succumbed to the poison of political correctness. Will other parts not follow?

I never really bought a lot of stuff on Ebay:barf: anyway so closing my account wasn't that hard of a decision. They will never get another penny from me. I didn't see a place to leave a comment about why I was closing my account. Will they send an email or something inquiring why I closed my account?

Does this apply to Anything gun related (holsters, etc.?) or just actual Gun Parts?

Thanks...I have a vested interest, but don't we all?!

I personally would not be too surprised if a lot of the stuff that is supposedly going to be banned is still for sale after August 13. It may be that ebay wants an "official policy" that gun related paraphenalia is forbidden, and then turn a blind eye to their own policy. This may, in the eyes of their lawyers, lessen their liability if someone uses a product sold on ebay in a crime.

They certainly would not be the first company to have an official policy to simply limit their liability. Colt still stamps AR's with bayo lugs and flash hiders as Law Enforcement Only, and Ruger does the same thing with 20 round M14 mags.
