Finally a decent gun tv show

I like the show. The guys (Larry and his partners) are knowledgeable and fun to watch. I've bought a lot of guns in auction over the years, and I'd like to go to one of theirs!
In an earlier post someone suggested interviewing the buyers (those that are willing), I think that would be interesting.
Keep up the good work Larry!

Collectively we are a walking encyclopedia!!. not much can get past us!!
and the powder and amo was free!!:)
 
Nice to see Wally on there last night. I'm not surprised he let you cut with his katana, but I cringed watching it. What was his edge like after?
 
I really like the show Larry. I always thought that Sean should have his own show, Whenever the Pawnstars guys would call for his expertise.

I don't usually like the range scenes, But I have to admit the episode where the MG42 was fired was fantastic!! That sucker really snorted.

I don't care at all for the auction stuff. I'm ok with you and your partners valuations of the stuff that comes up. The auction prices generally reflect your approximate values in the end, for the most part.

I would simply like to see MORE of the stuff that comes through your tents. Loose the auction scenes and fit a few more of those interesting items that you see, As I am positive you see many many cool things that don't make the cut for airtime on the show. Make it more of the 'Antiques Roadshow' for us gun and military guys.

Overall the show is very enjoyable, and you do a great job of showing the world that us militaria and firearm collectors aren't all that strange or uncommon.

I was glad to see something other than a Tannerite explosion when Sean was chicken out that Blunderbuss. The several dozen eggs splattering all over the range was a nice change of pace.

I, too have gotten a bit bored with the auction scenes. I'd rather see what it is estimated at, what it sold for, and a few comments from the buyer rather than the auction itself. There are other shows that revolve around auctions, I'd rather see Lords of War focus more on the items, their history, and the buyer of said item.

I also like NRA's Guns and Gold over on the Sportsmans channel, but my wife will sit and watch Lords of War. Guns and Gold is a little too boring for her.

I was expecting it to be a better honestly. I find the rigged / highly edited auctions and the "But will it fire?" sections to be rather annoying. These seem to be the main focus of the show and not the firearms.
 
I don't know if the auctions are rigged. You see a lot if the same people bidding show after show, place after place, but that really isn't that uncommon in the auction world.

But it isn't very suspenseful, like the commercial break just before the gun fires. Larry says the whole show is a history lesson, but I have to disagree. It's a history lesson at the tables where the item gets evaluated, which is only about 1/3 of the show. The rest is rage time and the auction.

Larry, I'm an old Kentucky boy who got to blow up plenty of stuff in the USAF. A puff of Tannerite smoke is a little lackluster to me these days. The model ship, the eggs, those were new and different. New and different is always good. Every show that shoots stuff shoots at Tannerite.

He does have a good point here. Personally I've had and awful lot of fun over the years shooting old cars, and appliances at my farms old dump.

Just caught your show for the first time last week. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to more episodes. You guys do a great job of revealing history and details. Wishing you all the best of success.

Nothing personal, but can you all change the format a bit if we email? I liked it,but it got real old real quick, I haven't even watched the last few episodes.
 
Ok, so I finally watched the last episodes tonight, really just had them on in the background while cleaning some guns. I decided its not a bad show, it just is what it is, a decent show that could be better but is to overproduced.
 
I was happy to send an email, but I did suggest less Tannerite and more novel reactive targets.
