I used to always be wanting another gun or three but I finally feel like I got what I need. It is by no stretch a huge collection but it is what I shoot no safe queens. got two 5 screw K-22's 4" and 6" got the companion gun to them a 5 screw pre 15 and a 4 screw 14-1. for a nightstand gun got a 3" 13-3 although I would like to upgrade this to a -2 P&R. For a truck gun 3" 65-3 ladysmith. for shooting friendly matches along with the 14 I have a 4" 627-5 pro 8 shot and a 5" 627-3 V-comp 8 shot. a 625-2 5" 45ACP great shooting gun and a 3" 686 CS1. you will notice no .44mags or specials not because I didn't try just couldn't shoot the .44mag that well. I will be picking up a 66-2 6" tomorrow because I need a 6" 357. So I think I can live with these for awhile I will still be looking for unusual guns but I think I am pretty well set.

I guess that about covers the handguns...

I don't actually own a handgun anymore, kind of sounds strange even to me, but it's just my way... I could see owning another one, but I would probably end up selling it again anyway; go figure?

I have had 5 of them stuck in my face or brandished over the years, and can't say I liked it much; the problem is, I never seem to be carring one at the time. I can say this though, it ain't never happened to me with a long gun in my hand.

Nice collection you have there of K and N frames, with even one L frame too, but no love for any J frames?

Fair enough. I'm just the opposite; small hands that are at home with the J and K frames, not so much with the N frames.

Pretty darn awesome collection in my mind. I'm more a Ruger fan than an S&W fan, but you have an outstanding collection for sure. Enjoy!!

Congratulations. You have achieved a level we all dream of.

I am the exact opposite by the way. I like safe queens and don't shoot most of my guns. But either way it must feel good.:)

Enjoy the six seconds you're at peace (there's always another must have...eventually). ;)

I know you guys are right, I got to keep buying just hoping the next one makes you happy, went and bought one today to good of a deal to pass up a 649 and I don't even like J frames. Anybody want a good deal on a 649-4 .38 spec DAO??

I've been at peace with my Smith collection for a while now. I've got the bases well covered.
34-1, pre 17 k22, 442, 14-4, 60-15, 19-3, 686ssr, 327 TRR8, 610-3, 696, 29-2 and a original 1917 army.
New and old, big and little. I have autos too 41, 6926 and 1076.

As said - enjoy your 6 seconds of being "at peace"...

I understand, though. I am basically there, too.

Now you may find yourself getting into a phase of either "well, this deal is too good to pass up" or else thinking of that one little hole in your collection. No, you won't NEED it and yes, of course you'll be able to get by fine without it. But it may start to needle and nag you.

And there goes "at peace", just like that.

Boards like this don't help matters, by the way. You may get introduced to something you had never considered, and end up giving it a second look. That's kind of what happened to me with single actions.

Sometimes I feel like an out of control junkie, I keep telling myself I have enough and it never is. Geez, did I come to the wrong place for help in stopping.

I quit counting how many guns I have long ago. Now I count how many gun safes I have.

I think you need some snubbies.

BTW, I thought I was done, too...until my local gun store started calling me out of the blue to tell me about cool guns that had come in on trade.
