Yesterday traded a Glock 17 mos for this Redhawk with 7.5 inch barrel. 2004 production. Reportedly less than 100 rds through (which looks about right). After market fiber optic sights (with originals). Hogue camo wood grips, though I've opted for the factory (for now). I have been wanting a 44 for a while for MT. And after several trades, I went from a basic AR to this.

Looks pretty good with its more refined cousins ... 0712171545-1.jpg 0712171540-1.jpg 0712171542-1.jpg noname-1.jpg

Nice! Is that a Bowen Classic Arms "Target" rear sight? Doesn't look to be stock.

Bet you a dollar that's a smooth shooter.
It has a nice double action pull, better than my two smiths (on first day's impression). Single action not quite as good as the 686.

I'm betting it will be both smooth and stout when I get it to the range.

Cool. I've got an early 80's model I came across used a few years ago. It's still rock solid and handles stiff handloads like champ.

Nice bit of horse trading to move up to that Redhawk! My brother took his Redhawk with a 5 1/2" barrel to Alaska when he had a job assignment up there. I got him an old WWII British canvas flap holster (for a Webley .455), to carry it in and it fit the Redhawk perfectly.

I finally got my 44 Mag several years ago; and it's the same model and barrel length as yours. IIRC it's a 1987 production per the serial number and it shoots great. LGS got it in a package deal when they purchased an entire collection from an estate and gave me a good price on it. I had been wanting something like a Redhawk or a Super Redhawk for some time and couldn't resist this one when it showed up. Now have it set up for deer season with a 2x Leupold and a set of Hogue grips. Handles 260 gr. WFNGC's very nice with a fairly warm (not max) load of H-110 that chronos a little over 1300 fps. I predict that you're gonna really like that Redhawk; I'm pretty fond of mine. IMG_1526.JPG

Nice looking set-up. I'm planning on some h-110 loads too. Trip this weekend so I can't hit the range.

Oh, the torture of waiting ...

Hope you enjoy, as my Super Redhawk is one of my favorites to shoot. I cast a 240 grain with Unique, that can be shot all day, and to step it up, I end the session with the same lead bullet and some 2400. Have fun.

They tend to multiply.
I went for .41 Mag on the second one. :D

A friend has a Redhawk. I've shot it a few times...you're gonna' like it! You made a nice addition.
I have three pistols on my list...a .44 mag is one of the three. One of these days!
