fireform 270wby from 7mm mag 0r 300 mag?

Is it possible to fire form some .270 weatherby brass from 7mm remington mag or 300 win mag brass?

seeing as they were both based on the 300 H&H mag?

If so, this could save me tons of money!!

After sizing in a 270 WB sizing die... You should be able to fireform them. The 7mm Rem(2.50") mag is a few thousandths shorter than the 270 WB(2.55") ... but you should be fine.

Make sure that the new formed shoulder is touching the chamber... if not you may find some case stretching just above the belt.

In other words ..unscrew the 270WB die 1 turn away from the ram... then adjust it down until the bolt will just close with a little resistance.

This makes sure the brass is headspacing off the shoulder and not off the belt by itself... brass will last much longer too.

I don't think I would go with a full blown load to fireform with either... something to blow out the radiused shoulders, but not a super heavy load.
