Well, we have the first person apparently indicted for having a bumpstock machine gun (yes, I know that is ridiculous phrasing).

https://www.foxnews.com/us/houston-man-first-to-be-indicted-for-bump-stock-possession-since-ban

Wonder if this will prove to be a test case or will be plead out?

Apparently the guy was not exactly right in the head and is a prohibited person with being committed for a mental illness previously.

"If convicted of any of the charges, Dhingra could face 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine."

I sure hope that it’s not what we use as a test case. If so, we have little chance considering the other variables that will look awful to the general public and be low hanging fruit for any attorney.

Duplicate thread, soon to be locked.

The guy was a nut. Let us just hope his persona is not reflected on the rest of us.

I do hope for a meaningful bump stock ban test case and I hope this is not it.
