Figured this was going to happen eventually with more people carrying on campus. Luckily it's not making more of a splash in the news. You don't want one person ruining it for everyone else.

St. Thomas student accidentally shoots another through dormitory wall

By NICK FERRARO | [email protected] | Pioneer Press PUBLISHED: April 7, 2017 at 10:52 pm | UPDATED: April 8, 2017 at 8:36 pm

One person was injured after a gun was accidentally discharged at a University of St. Thomas dormitory Friday night, St. Paul police said.

About 8:25 p.m., a round fired from a firearm at Flynn Hall went through a wall and struck another student, according to the university, which called the incident a “terrible accident.”

“St. Thomas is a weapons-free campus and the safety of our students, staff and faculty is a top priority for all on campus.”

Sounds like this is not a campus where carrying firearms is allowed in the first place. So, not an accident on a "carry campus".

I have a feeling this will end up making national news. It happened Fri and the weekend generally isn't prime time for news like this. Wait until tomorrow night....
