I just got my first competition belt, a AXL Eclipse. It was advertised as super light and as every year goes by I appreciate that more. I think I have my holster figured out with a QLS mount and hood for extra retention. I'm still looking at the magazine holders. What is the new best thing out there? I'll be shooting both a 22lr single stack gun and double stack 9mm. Would I be better off getting something that can adjust to both sizes like a black scorpion holder or is there a QD mount like the QLS for magazine holders? I'll mainly be shooting 3 gun, pin matches, and club level IDPA/USPSA. I'm really excited to get past just tucking mags in my pockets or belt but want to take the time to get gear that won't leave me wanting in a year or two.

I always liked the wilderness tactical 5 stitch instructors belt. Then I got an unclemikes instructors belt for about half price. No doubt it’s made in China and I shouldn’t try and use it for hook up if I am being extracted from a hot zone by a chopper but they are my everyday belt now.

USPSA, not production, I use inner/outer belts, with everything secured to the outer.

Right. IDPA requires holster and mag carriers on the pants belt.
USPSA allows double belts, equipment on the outer belt Velcroed to the inner. Quick change.
I am seeing a lot of the Double Alpha stuff.

I use G-Code mag pouches for just the reason you stated. They retain my mags when I'm running, and they work with everything from a PCC mag to my 1911 mag. No swapping out mag pouch or having a box full of them just 4 G-code pouches and I'm good for everything.

Ever have any complaints about the g code? I'm liking the ability to stack on a rifle pouch if desired.
