Some of you may remember the thread two weeks ago where I announced that I was getting a Ruger P89 for basically free. It finally came in today and I picked it up from my FFL. Went immediately to the range (deserted) and got used to how it felt in my IWB holster from High Noon Holsters, and then went through about 5 mags of WWB 9MM.

On my way home I stopped into a chinese restaurant and got some General Tso's extra spicy, while carrying at 4 o'clock under denim shorts with a tshirt tucked. Nobody noticed, no ladies screamed as they dragged their children away, no police rollout, SWAT stayed home. All in all it was a non-event, as it should be.

You must've been doing something incorrectly.

    Welcome to the club.

Did you make sure to run around screaming "I GOT A GUN!!!"? That might be your problem :)

Welcome to the club I know it wasn't easy being in the People's Rebublic Of NY. When my brother got his handgun or CCW permit for NY he to actually get references!!! My wife and I carry everywhere we are legally allowed to which here in VA is a lot of places.

Tuckable IWB holster, see my link above.

It's not invisible, but it's pretty good, especially when you blouse the shirt out.
