The local PD finally got their act together with my permit to buy paperwork, so today I entered the exciting world of handgun ownership (I'm a moderately experienced long gun shooter). CZporn below, gratis.

It's a barely used 75B in .40, and I picked it up for $475 cash after taxes, with 2 mags. It's in beautiful condition, as you can see below. I'll be sharing a lane with a buddy and his new XD40 this weekend, so I'll see if I feel justified in going for the steel frame and external hammer (those being my primary reasons for picking the CZ). I'll be doing CCW classes once I get a bit more comfortable with shooting it.

I give thanks to all the members of this forum whose knowledge I trawled in deciding what to get.

    WOW!!!!

Beautiful piece! I'll trade you a couple of trained coon dogs and a single shot Mossberg 12 gauge (both dogs and Mossberg still NIB) for it and I'll pay the shipping both ways!!!!!!

    Enjoy............

Great choice, the hammer and steel might have been your reason for choosing CZ, but the ergonomics and accuracy are going to be your reason for never selling it. Let us know how she stacks up against the XD.

Congratz! I got the same exact gun* last year as my first handgun!

It's sweet:) I've longingly looked at other guns since then but I've always gone back home to my CZ and been satisfied:)

You will love the CZ I have 8 pistols and 4 rifles.I bought my 40 barely used for $280 a couple years ago before they started to get popular. They are my favorite of all my semis.I have owned and shoot all kinds of different brands and dollar for dollar the CZ is tops. You will not be satisfied with just one.
