I actually do not have one. I shoot the S&W 59 that was a gift to my husband. I've pretty much unofficialy adopted it. Heck, I've been learning to reload for it.

But the first one I ever shot was a Ruger Blackhawk 357mag.

Probably picking up a Mark II for my birthday in January though.

My first was a Ruger Super Single Six purchased in 1971 when I turned 21. I bought it brand new at Clark Brothers Guns in Warrenton, Va. for $79.00. I still have it.

my first handgun was a sa xd service model .40 which i still own, i love it now more than i did then, it has been great.

Ruger Super Single-Six I purchased with my first paycheck after getting out of the Air Force. Played around with .22LR and kept it loaded with Magnums for home defense, it gave my wife comfort for a summer in LA while I had to be away. Like most of us that sold our first guns, I regret selling it but have remedied the situation and I have three Single-Sixes right now that aren't going anywhere.

Ruger Mark III 22/45. I bought this model because I knew I would eventually get a 1911 and I wanted a .22 that closely mimics JMB's wonderful invention. It's still the gun I shoot most often, especially since .45 ammo is so expensive.

The first was a Ruger Security Six .357 that was nickel plated and stainless. My dad gave it to me for my 20th birthday and it got stolen out of my truck about 4 years ago.

My first was a Bersa Thunder9, that I hated and disposed of in short order.

The first handgun which I bought was A Smith and Wesson model 29, 44mag -six inch; in blue. I am very happy to say that I still have it!!!

My first was a Glock 22, which I bought a little over 4 years ago.

It turned out to be just the first of many so far, with more to come . . . :)

The first handgun I bought as a young adult was a Browning Challenger II in .22 LR. Great plinker. I had shot some of my Dad's pistols before that but they were his not mine. It was a great feeling to buy and own my own handgun. Can't beat a .22 for a first pistol!

Stoeger .22 Luger
Fine shooting pistol. Sold it a few years after and regretted doing it. Missed it so bad, I recently bought another from a THR member, Rex B.
Shoots great! Good guy to deal with too.

S&W Model 410 which is .40. Awesome gun, got it used, but it was never fired. Apparently part of a collection. New condition of course.

Mine was a Browning Buckmark Hunter which I bought with birthday money. A friend of mine recently picked it up from my house for me while I was at work, we were going to shoot together, and drove from my house with it on the roof of his car. Long gone.
