60ish shooters overall, with about 16 in Optics/open division. Quite a few PCC shooters. I guess I need to get one of those. :D

I placed 1st in my division in 5 of 7 stages, and placed 6th on both of the others, due to trying to shoot too fast and making dumb mistakes. I took first overall in my division by 0.4 seconds. Whew! :D

I shot my S&W CORE 9L with RMR 3.25 MOA optic. Non ported, standard barrel and recoil spring, Apex FSS trigger and sear kit. Taylor Freelance 28-round mag extension. Safariland belt slide IDPA legal holster, crappy cheap paddle mag pouches.

Still losing a lot of time getting on target for the first shot, and on reloads, and on movement. And on being stupid. :) A couple very fast master-class IDPA iron sight shooters had faster overall times. And a couple PCCs naturally.

Well done, indeed.
I have done more than my share of competition. I appreciate the dedication that it takes to be a serious competitor.
Congrats.
Some can talk the talk, but i see you can walk the walk.
Well done.

Haha! Very cool. You definitely dominate on those Texas Stars. I like them as well, but wow, you definitely shoot them as well or better than any I have ever seen.

You know how to boss those stars around, and the walking-while-shooting-steel stage was pretty impressive. Your hands move slow as molasses during the first half of the draw, but once you set up shop, the shooting is good! Good stuff.

The end of January I got my first division win ever in SCSA (or any thing else with a handgun). Shot iron sight revolver at a range I had never been to. There were 7 or 8 others in ISR.

I actually thought my shooting wasn't too good that day and given the times on official SCSA stages I have done better in the past. But still, it was fun seeing my name at the top of the division. I think the really good shooters didn't attend that match.
