Flashing the Pan before Loading?

As a frequent cap&ball shooter at a public range its a given one will be interrupted in reloading the revolver at some point when the range cease fire buzzer goes off. Most RSO's know the difference between loaded and charged, and the few that didn't accepted the explanation, no cap no fire, but on one occasion had to dismount the cylinder to satisfy the RSO. I do keep a small needle nose pliers handy for decapping and if part way thru a firing stance finish firing the cylinder. It helps to have established a regular appearance at any given range amongst full time RSO's and the volunteers.
