FMK9C1 Gen 2 9mm Compact Pistol

Just today went and picked up my free pistol, after about a year of waiting. I got the pistol home and cleaned it up a bit. Didn't notice any cosmoline on it but some light grease.

I didn't get the Amendments version, but I did get a decent firearm IMHO. It had two 14 round magazines, and a decent trigger. It appears the feed ramp was judiciously polished, and the mat black finish looked ok.

It has several sets of sights included, however the one's that came on it seem to be perfectly adequate as far as my lazer sight showed. I would have gone out and shot it this afternoon however the wind was blowing with gusts up to 50 mph.

Anyway I've got at least 250 rounds just begging to be shot, so as soon as the wind settles down I'll be out there and give ya all an account of the gun as far as reliability goes. The LGS has them for $399.00 and so far hasn't had one come back for repair or any type of complaint. Mine was free as previously mentioned.

Went out the first thing this morning, and tried out my new FMK. I first shot 150 Federal 115 grain factory rounds thru it without a problem of any kind. Noted the gun to be very recoil friendly and extremely accurate. It really does have a nice ergonomic grip, as my hands are a bit medium large.

I next fired 100 hand loaded, hand cast 120 grain rounds that I found to be very accurate in my Beretta 92FS. Again I fired all 100 rounds without a problem, found the rounds to be very accurate also. Further the ejector keeps all the fired casings nice and close to where I was shooting, so all 250 casing could be recovered without a problem.

Over all I do believe this gun is definitely a keeper, and I wouldn't feel slighted to carry it as a CCW arm. I know there are a lot of people on this site that wouldn't give .02 cents for one but what can I say.

Note also I loaded the gun with 15 rounds, 10 rounds, and even only 5 rounds and it shot, ejected, and fed without any hint of a problem. For just under $400.00 I don't see where a guy or gal could go wrong buying one. Again mine was free with membership in a shooting facility here in Nevada.

Below are the pictures, and the sights that were on the gun seem to direct the rounds right about where I want them. Note I was shooting at the head from 15 yards, as well as the bullseye target. BTW that is the final target from all the shooting I did this morning, the head was done in a rapid fire mode. The bullseye target was used slow fire using my handcast 120 grain bullets. The magazine will drop free (with one hand) of the gun however you really have to push the release, I would imagine engaged in a prolonged gun battle, with the adrenaline pumping, that wouldn't present a problem.
