FN 7x57 Scout rifle

    Here's an ad for a used FN rifle. Could someone tell me what they think of this as a deer rifle and whether the price is anywhere in the ballpark? I know nothing about FNs as civilian guns.

    I would prefer a conventional scope mte. for hunting. There's not enough info to make a decision on value. FN didn't produce a synthetic scout model to my knowledge, so it's a conversion of some kind. Personally IMHO i would keep looking. PS> I like the cartridge though.

    FN produced a lot of Mauser rifles in a lot of calibers for military (and civilian) use. 7mm mauser was a relatively popular military round at one point. It sounds like tis a sporterized mauser of somesort.
