I've never handled the FS2000, and I don't know much about it, but I do know that the SIG 556 is an excellent weapon. I bought mine about 3 weeks ago and have never been happier with a gun purchase, even though I've been broke ever since. No worries, however, for there will always be another paycheck. :)
 
I am disapointed with SIGARMS (now Sig Sauer) products in the last 10 years.
Like every new product from this company the 556 had massive problems when it first came out and I would not want one.
The FS2000 is a nice gun and something different.
I like the way it ballances and the fact it does take the AR/M16 magazines.
The price however is too much. For the $2,000 you can trick out an AR quite a bit or even buy an used HK91/3!
