They have been on the market for a little over a month I guess? The CMMG guys had one for sale at the 12/31 gun show in KC for about $1700. I should have bought it and thrown on Gunbroker. Saw one go the other day for over $2600. I saw another one come in on order at my local gun shop. Many other people are on "lists" all over the internet to get one.

I have thought about one, but think I may wait until the hype slows down and fiocchi starts manufacturing the 5.7 ammo, as it is running anywhere from $25-$30 for a 50 round box right now. With the 50 round magazines you can get for the PS90, that could make shooting VERY expensive, VERY quickly!

In the meantime, I have another FN, the FS2000, http://www.impactguns.com/store/FN-FS2000.html on order. It fires the 5.56 and accepts standard AR type mags.

What are these going for? Before they came out a local dealer told me he expected them to sell for $1300-1400 but after they came out I've heard reports of them going for as much as $2500.

So what are people paying for these?

I really wish I could justify that much dough on a plinker, but I can't. It isn't much use for defensive purposes, esp with ammunition available to us. SO basically it is for making noise and maybe pest control, and a $160 10/22 can do just as well.

I might have to invest in the FS2000 but even then, I am not on the market for a poodle shooter either.

It sucks cause I admire their attempts to reach the civilian market and want to support them in this effort. I actually wish they would make a left hand version of their precision bolt rifles. That is something I could justify spending money on.

My main issue with them is that about 99% of the parts in the thing is plastic. I'm not saying its a bad thing to everyone, but to me it is. Just about everything on these boys is plastic except the springs....
just my $0.02... if you want an interested 5.7 x 28 alternative checkout Rhinelan d Arms 5.7 AR-15 Upper.

I was drooling for one for over a year, when I found out they would finally make a semi auto version. But as time passed, I saw the cost of the ammo and started to loose interest. I held one last month at the Houston gun show. It is kewl, but not worth the cost, IMHO. Plus, it really didn't look that high quality up close. The gun I held had terrible weld marks all over the metal rail that holds the scope/view finder.

I've got some on order right now. They are backlogged quite a bit. Retail is around in the $1,400-$1,500 range. The 2,500 ones are people getting what they can while the supply is lower than the demand.

I've also ordered a Rhineland upper to check out.

Civillian, right now all of the ones I've got ordered, I've already got presold since there is such a backlog. If you want us to order one for you call 801-571-1160.

Oleg, a trip down south is going to require me to first tame the chaos that is my life. :) BTW, when do we get to see the pictures you took with our little friend?

Any guesses on how much it costs FN to make that thing

I am guessing about 50 bucks.

Doesn't really matter. Glocks cost $80 to make. But sell for $500+ bucks.

A product is worth whatever they can sell it for. The price is determined by whatever maximizes their profits. Too much, they don't sell enough units. Too little, they don't make as much by gun. That is just business and good old Econ 101.

    it seems to me,
a P90 in 17-22 rimfire would qualify as a hoot to shoot,
and just about perfect for go'ould zombie ground squirrels.

Did you hear, the SG team switched to HK products, like the MP7?

Cost justification on the PS90 is the big issue, though. I'd hate to take a $1700 beating, both in the wallet and from the wifey.
