Who else uses foaming bore cleaner and what are your thoughts? I have been using it for years and really like the result of lead and copper cleaning.

I do. Works fine for me in stainless barrels with FMJ ammo. I have no reason to expect any residual copper fouling.

Works well, but can be messy.

I used it when I was shooting a lot of milsurps. I'd swab the bore good with "windex" to clear the corrosive primer residue and foam the bore. Come back later and push some patches. Really worked well.

Use it all the time. Excellent results.

I've been using them for awhile and like them. I've used a few and am happy with the BreakFree and Outers versions.

Not as impressed with the Gunslick version and not at all impressed with the Hoppes Elite Foaming bore cleaner. The latter was a real disappointment as the standard (non-foaming) Hoppes Elite Cleaner is really great. I'm not sure why the foaming version doesn't seem to work as well.

I rigged up a 3/8" OD hose to our mud sink in the basement. I jam the hose into the chamber and run hot water through the bore for minute or so and then clean normally.

Yeah theres all kinds of ways to clean corrosive. Main thing is to use something water based so it dissolves the salts then clean as normal. I also have a small plastic water bottle cut so it would fit over the muzzle to catch the foaming bore cleaner as it eventually ran out the muzzle.

I've been using Wipe-Out for about 10 years and it's the only bore cleaner I use. Spray it in the barrel, let it sit overnight - doesn't contain ammonia so it does not damage the barrel - couple of patches the next day and that's it. Very simple.

I used some sort of foaming bore cleaner on a 1930 Mosin 91/30. I had decided to shoot only cast from it (I should have done that years ago....), and wanted to get the bore as clean as a sewer pipe can be prior to starting with cast.

I cleaned it for a week or so, alternating Hoppes #9, Hoppes Benchrest Copper cleaner, homemade Ed's Red, and the foaming stuff. It amazed me that each solvent would stop working, then the next solvent would pick up the slack.
When I got back around to the solvent that had stopped working, after a round of all the rest, it again took more ickies (the technical term) out of the barrel.

When I finally threw in the towel, the barrel was (is) still dark, but the rifling became more prominent.

    As did the pitting.....
