I'm in CA right now and was looking at a consignment list at a privately owned local sporting goods chain (pretty much just fishing and guns)

I noticed the following that Luger collectors might be interested in.

The store chain has about 10 locations in CA but all of these are at 1 store which leads me to believe that these are all coming from 1 or 2 sellers and are cashing out (maybe a family member is liquidating an estate)

I have no idea if this is good or not but I doubt these are listed on the gun broker type sites.

Most or all of these have 1 pic.

PM me if you're interested and I'll send more info for you to contact them directly.

Wow . Those are out of my price range, or at least until my Conoco-Phillips royalty checks pick up again.

Is there more specific info available? For instance, a second magazine that is matching numbered to the gun can dramatically increase the gun's value. With a capital D! The catch is that a lot of counterfeit magazines exist. Sometimes an expert is needed to authenticate properly. Any holsters or extra accessories?

I'm no Luger expert. I prefer C-96 s but when I have a Luger question I cruise on down to Galesburg and go to Simpson's Collector Guns and yak at Mr. Simpson. (If he is there!) I would pass your info on to him but he doubtless has knowledge of this sale already. That old buzzard (meant in a humorous way) can sniff out a choice Luger that is buried under a dead skunk from three miles distant.

I haven't kept up with Luger prices, but it seems to me that those are way over the top end for the guns. If the seller is firm on prices, I would take a hike.
