Some weeks ago I embarked on a rigorous scientific study to determine exactly how much fun could be had shooting.
Today's fun multiplier experiment was an unqualified success! It started with the hypothesis that fun increases geometrically as disciplines are combined. Our experiment was to combine tactical rifles, trap, 22 LR plinking and select fire.
in other words, shooting trap with a full-auto ar15 with a dedicated 22lr upper.
Conclusion: I HIGHLY recommend it.
Next week... I'm going to try to shoot a round of skeet using rat-shot. I may need to locate some of that wooden AR furniture to camouflage the gun so the shotgunners don't freak.
anybody know where to get rat shot cheaper than this ? http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemListing.aspx?catid=493
by my calculation, @ 25 grains / 22lr cartridge, it will take 19.68 cartridges to equal one 1 1/8 oz shell from a 12ga. To get maximum fun, I may need to do a mag change between birds on the double stages.
