Forming a trust for NFA items?

How do you go about forming a trust to recive NFA items?
Does it cost anything?
Does it take longer than the Local sign off?
 
Roadwild17 - there's already one thread dealing with trust issues; I'll try to find it and post a link.

Anyhow, if you're going to get an NFA item I would strongly urge you to go the individual route with the CLEO signoff first. Use a trust or corporate entity to purchase only as a last resort if you cannot get a signoff. And if you do decide to go that way, your first step should be to see an attorney in your state. I have most of my NFA items on form 4's in my name (indivdually) and I also have a few held by a trust. I created my own trust, but I'm a lawyer.

Some time back, I had info on Texas lawyers that did Gun Trusts...then my 'puter puked and I lost it all.<sigh>

IIRC, they were members of this site - so if you're still here, please drop me a line!!!!
 
Thanks - trying to find someone actually residing in Texas that's familiar w/them....at least if they screw up, they're close enough to pay a visit to!<G>
