FOX 4 News in Dallas does IDPA

I was watching Fox 4 News this morning and they had a segment on IDPA. There is evidently a big shoot-out in the area this weekend and they actually showed people fireing guns and having fun trying to beat the clock. Even the News reporter got into the act and presented the segment in very good light as he not only showed men shooting but several women including the national champion women shooter. There were several police officers as well as the general public featured. Maybe thats why I like Fox News they try to show alot of different things on their Saturday program and not always in a bad light. Hope they'll show some more.

Glad to hear some good news for a change.
Fox is the only world news I watch now. The other big network news are so onesided I can't take it.

Probably once a year there'll be a story on the shooting sports - handgun, shotgun or long gun. Nice pub, but usually still just a fluff story.

Yeah, I saw it - even my wife liked the part with the ladies shooting, and she's not particularly fond of firearms (yet).

I'm guessing it's IPSC, not IDPA, based on the equipment and the reloads.

Now make sure they know that that piece was appreciated, and you'd like to see more. Congratulate them on a positive piece that doesn't obcess on gloom and doom.
