About 2:45 PDT I saw the end of something about self defense with one of the lady talking heads and their ex-judge legal consultant (okay so I am hopeless with names) with a quick shot of an indoor shooting range.

Did anyone see this? Which program? These are recycled through the evening so I am hoping to catch the repeat.

The ex-judge that is the FOXNews legal analyst is Judge Andrew P Napolitano, a former NJ Superior Court Justice who considers himself to be a pro-life Liberterian. He has written a book or too as well, including Constitution in Exile.
His website:

If i find a link I will post it,if any of yall find a link post it. As for self defense,Fox is usually pro gun and pro self defense.

that's an awfully broad brush you're using.

I've seen the people on their morning show espouse stereotypical, ignorant anti rhetoric on more than one occasion (ie: before the AWB sunset).

The segment was about the lawful use of deadly force when encountering a criminal meant on doing you harm. In short, some states OK deadly force, others require you to run to a safer location first if possible even when the attack is in your residence or dwelling. They had a graph highlighting, IIRC, 13 or so sates, OKing use of deady force at the initial encounter.

Fox news pro gun, that is news to me. Billy O'Reilly has said more than once that no one should be able to CCW. Heck I don't believe they ever aired a pro gun message. People should realize Fox news is nothing more than a chicken hawk neo conservative "news" orginzation.

Bill O'Reilly before Katrina: "If somebody has a rifle and 50,000rds of ammunition in their house, I want to know why."

Bill O'Reilly after Katrina: "Get a rifle. Everybody should have a rifle to defend their lives and property." or similar words to that effect.

Sean Hannity CCW's a Glock pistol too. They've mentioned it on Hannity&Colmes.

ED Hill is also pro-gun, and she has mentioned her love for guns as well as her kids shooting activities on air. She also spoke ill of Air Canada's added fees for people who travel with guns. Another FNC anchor mentioned that he was involved in target shooting on air- but that he is not a very good shot.

Read Judge Napolitano's "Constitution in Exile." It has a very strong chapter on the Second Amendment.

There're a few network pro-gunners out there. ABC's John Stossell is another one. Hugh Downs was another, before he retired.

The Program I saw on Fox was about the Stand Your Ground Law, I found the story to be neutral at best, but that's all you can hope for here in NY:banghead:

Fox isn't pro or anti, they tell about the subject matter and get a talking head on each side of the matter and let the viewer decide what to think. Wow! what a concept.:)

Yeah, it drives the libs nuts when you tell them that the News on Fox is fair and balanced.
They start turning colors and jumping up and down. Then you point out that the NEWS is fair and balanced, their opinion pieces are conservative, but they clearing present that as opinion NOT news. If ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, PBS, etc did that, their news would be about 3 minutes long like FOX's.
