Anyone have any exp with the Fox River Brake. Krieger will install on a new barrel for $200. Is that reasonable? Is the lower portion 'non-ported' to allow shooting from a bipod? Are there better brakes available?

Edit: Are there any brakes that work as good as the goofy looking JP's?

Thanks Much!

Reduces recoil in most calibers by 50% or more. Available in stainless or
blued. 8° forward angle ports direct blast away from shooter.
The “Original” Fox River Brake™
(Includes the brake and installation) $175.00
Up-charge for Auto rifles like Browning BAR or Remington 7400 . $40.00
Custom Muzzle Cap . $50.00
Our Gunsmiths can also custom fit your brake by polishing the barreled
action and brake together and then rebluing $75.00
The Vixen™ features three rows of holes positioned on the side of the
brake to reduce the amount of dirt blown back at the shooter while in the
prone position. It reduces recoil as effectively as the Fox River™ Brake.
The Vixen is available in a 1" stainless configuration only and can be
installed on any barrel .850" or larger. (includes brake and installatioin) .
$200.00

This is from the Gander Mountain web site. The Vixen is what you want if you don't want dirt blowing back at you.
