Polls like these makes no sense, as any basic statistics class will tell you. Only people who are going to vote in this will be people who feel pationate about Fred Thompson (pro or anti). Having people put personal-information just turns the average-joe away.

Just make up an e-mail address. As long as it's in the name@something.(com,net,org,edu...) form, they will accept it, and you don't get any spam. Out of courtesy to whoever may be the target of my made up address, I usually try to choose a domain that does not exist for the something.com part.

asdlf.com for example does not exist.

That's why I keep the AOL email account that I hate so much! I get in there about once a month delete several hundred junk emails. It's my spam bucket.
