A block away from the location where I took my induction physical in 1967 was a Mil surplus store.

New ,and still in cosmo, I purchased a 1903 - A3 for the then going rate of $25.00

Good days - Good memories !

I guess I qualify as an old-timer. I used to hang out at Ye Olde Hunter in Alexandria, VA, when I worked at the Pentagon, and my wife to be worked for Interarms (then Interarmco). I just regret that I didn't buy more, especially more DEWAT STEN guns for $9.95 and Thompson M1928A1's for $79. But I did get a lot on my magnificant salary of $3470 a year. If you look at that figure again, you will understand that those "low" prices were not really that low.

Ahh for the good old days.

Forget the "good old days." I'm taking the Gunshop Time Machine to the future to get an M-41 Pulse Rifle, Westinghouse M-25 Phase Plasma Rifle (with 40 watt range), or Star Trek phaser.

Be sure you go to the time after they were invented and put on sale but before they were banned "for the future of the children" or is the "the children of the future"
