Free bullets in 2010?

Does anyone know if Hornady will continue the "Get Loaded" campaign in 2010?

I'm pretty sure I am going to buy a LNL, but wanted to wait 'til after the holidays.
However, I might decide to move it up, if the offer expires Dec. 31, I sure would hate to miss out on the free bullets 'cause I waited too long.
 
I heard that they were going to drop it to 500 bullets for the LNL AP.

Who knows... Maybe they will extend it again like they did this year.

When you send in your stuff, be sure to save your box. I threw away my box only to find out a month later that I had sent in the wrong UPC code. Needless to say, I didn't get my bullets.:cuss:
 
Continue? I still haven't received mine and I sent the stuff in back in May. I should call them. It's been too long for there not to be some sort of a problem.
 
i would say they will, its a great advantage they have over the other reloading manufacturers...and heck they charge you for shipping, so its not really that big of an expense for them to do.
 
get over a hundred $ of bullets was the clincher for me. Now that i have the LNL and space for the powder cop die . I cant consider the Dillon.
 
I....called Hornady and asked them.

The Get Loaded offer *will* continue in 2010, BUT it will be different. A die set purchase will still allow you to get 100 bullets, but the LnLAP press will only get you 500 bullets, not the current 1000 bullets.

They aren't sure yet how or if it'll cover the kit, and/or powder measure.

Further, the choice of bullets will change, probably fewer to choose from.

So--if you're in the market for a LNLAP press, now's the time. They're out there, but if you want 1000 bullets instead of 500, get it before Dec 31.
 
I got the 230gr .45 XTPs too, but I bought my press in December 2008. This year, the .45 bullets are the 185gr XTPs, not the 230gr.

Whoa, wait . . . which UPC code are you supposed to send in? They're the same code, except for the size. I sent in the one from the short side of the box.
 
I just got off the phone with Hornady and they claim that it doesn't matter which UPC code you send in, as long as its one that was printed directly on the box. If it's from an adhesive label that was subsequently stuck to the box, then no, they won't accept it.
 
Wow, I think they were in a rush to get the 2010 Get Loaded stuff up on their website. It's a mess.
The website still shows 1000 free bullets with the LNL AP, and the 100 free with the LNL Powder Measure. Opening up the PDF form shows 500 free bullets with the LNL AP, but they didn't change the line that says "Up to a $300 value." Yeah...That's a $160 value this time around. And then the redemption form itself looks like it was scanned in on a cheap scanner.

Huh. Well, I have a 2nd UPC code on my box that I haven't done anything with yet. I wonder if I can get another 500 bullets? :D

What a novel concept!
I actually ordered a LNL AP over Christmas thanks to your post. I got it up and running this last weekend. What a machine! My Loadmaster and all its accessories will be for sale soon :)
 
I just got a e-mail that said my bullets were on the way. I turned in my stuff the week after Christmas. I know it is just 100 bullets, but it is better than a poke in the eye.:eek:
 
I turned mine in a week before Christmas, and haven't heard anything yet. I have two separate claims in, too . . . one for the press (1K .40 S&W/10mm HP/XTP) and one for the dies (100 .40 S&W/10mm HP/XTP).

I have plenty of cast lead to tide me over, but I think I'll call Hornady and make sure they've got my paperwork just to be on the safe side.
 
I just called Hornady to ask about the fulfillment process, and was told that a notice is sent out via email once the customer's submission is entered into their system. I haven't even seen one of those yet . . . for those that have already received their bullets, did you get an email notification that your paperwork had been received? They appear to be sending out notifications when the bullets are shipped (although I have no direct proof of that).

When I asked why I hadn't received a notification that my paperwork had been processed while others that had submitted their form after me had actually received their bullets, the customer rep was at a loss.

She claimed that there were boxes and boxes of forms to be entered into their system, that they were receiving hundreds per day, and that they were coming in unpaid on weekends to get caught up but that Nebraska weather wasn't exactly accommodating them.

This is disappointing.
 
An update to my previous post: I received 2 emails last night, one confirming the order for the 1,000 free bullets from the purchase of my press, and the other confirming the 100 free bullets from the purchase of the dies.

No word on shipping yet, but at least I'm in the system :D
